The GE LumiLine® brand linear incandescent lamps were built into many jukeboxes, store displays, homes, museums, and businesses built in the 1930s through 1960s. This type of lamp requires two end clips to attach and connect the tubular lamp to the fixture. When replacing the lamp, the end clips must be transferred from the old lamp to the new one. This is no longer general knowledge, and so the clips often get discarded with the lamps. Even if they're carefully saved, age and heat exposure mean the clips do not last forever.
