Original-equipment PhilipsŪ D3S mercury-free Xenon HID bulb made in Germany. Exact replacement for projector-type HID headlamps originally calling for D3S bulbs. All D3S bulbs have an ignitor box built onto the bulb base. D3S bulbs cannot be used to replace D1S bulbs, because the photometry, voltage and ballast requirements, and base indexing are different. It is best to replace these bulbs in pairs, because as they age, the color of their light changes. Replacing only one bulb of a pair will cause the two headlamps to emit light of noticeably different color. |
